In 1998 a group of ladies with sons and daughters with a disability met for coffee and decided to form an organisation to help them link to the services they were looking for. For about the last five years a major area of our work has been working with and for families learning how to manage their disability funding packages. We currently have over 400 families across Queensland with most of them located in the South East of the state. We work closely with the University of the Sunshine Coast and have been involved with testing Nadia which is an online avatar project for the NDIS and are involved in working to develop a Global Diversity Centre on the Sunshine Coast in conjunction with the University and the Council. We are the Queensland Agency member of Inclusion Australian which is a National Peak body with a focus on people with an Intellectual Disability.
